The Denton Urban Air held its soft opening Oct. 31, offering the first 50 children wearing Halloween costumes who purchased Urban Air socks a free day play pass.
All the activities are designed to promote healthy lifestyles by making exercise fun and engaging, according to the company’s website.
The overview
The new $1 million facility is an indoor playground and trampoline park catering to children aged 2-18. The space can accommodate up to 400 people at a time, according to prior reporting.
Dev Ray, the owner of the facility, said opening an Urban Air in Denton made sense from a business perspective.
“Denton is one of the [fastest-growing] cities [in the area] and really doesn't have spaces like this here,” he said.
Urban Air features include:
A zipline
Climbing walls

Trampolines
Tubes playground
Diving in deeper
Some attractions, such as the zipline and climbing walls, have height restrictions and require provided harnesses to be worn. The trampoline areas double as a basketball court, dodgeball arena and gymnastic runway.
The adventure park also features a cafe and 10 private birthday party rooms, which are climate controlled and can be rented out for adult or corporate events, according to prior reporting.
Urban Air socks, which are available for purchase and are included in the purchase of a membership, are required to be worn inside the park.
The adventure park offers single day passes and monthly memberships, per its website.
Ray previously said the Denton Urban Air is bringing 35-50 part-time and full-time jobs, according to prior reporting.
