Residents in the Prosper and Celina area can attend a joint public information meeting to learn more about a shared project to widen Parvin Road, which runs through both communities.

In a nutshell

The information meeting will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Aug. 27 at Christie Elementary located at 6505 Crutchfield Road, Aubrey and will offer residents a chance to review project materials, ask questions and leave comments, according to a Prosper news release.

The project details that will be available for residents to look through include:
  • Project drawings showing the location and design
  • Tentative construction schedules
  • Proposed and alternative road alignment maps
  • Preliminary environmental constraints map

Sorting out details

The project would reconstruct Parvin Road from FM 1385 to Dallas Parkway, according to the release. This would include widening the road from two lanes to a four-lane divided roadway and related improvements, such as:
  • Adding drainage structures
  • Constructing roadway lighting
  • Landscaping
  • Irrigation work
