Proposed $2.3B bond could bring Celina its second high school

Celina ISD’s proposed $2.3 billion bond will include 10 new campuses including the district’s second high school. New facilities include 10 schools and an early childhood education center.

Officials eye US 380, tollway intersection for performing arts facility site

Members of Prosper ISD’s board of trustees discussed partnering with the city of Frisco for the performing arts center in October. The partnership would combine the district’s performing arts center, which was approved by voters in the 2023 bond program, with the city of Frisco’s plans. The proposed site spans roughly 40 acres of land at the corner of Dallas Parkway and US 380. It is currently owned by the Frisco Economic Development Corporation and within the overlapping boundaries of the city of Frisco and Prosper ISD.


Prosper ISD board of trustees to have 2 contested races in May election

Five candidates filed to run for the Prosper ISD board of trustees election. The three seats up for election are Place 1, Place 3 and Place 6.

5 candidates vie for Celina ISD school board seats

Celina ISD's has two seats up for election in May—Place 1 and Place 2. Board members are elected at-large by the citizens in CISD for three-year, staggered terms. The school board sets goals and policies for the district.


Celina ISD officials OK $1.15M staff technology refresh

Celina ISD staff members will be getting new Apple MacBooks. The purchase includes 900 13-inch MacBook Airs for $881,100. The district also purchased four-year AppleCare+ protection service for the computers.
