1. Prosper officials consider new retail center at First Street, Legacy Drive
Prosper officials are moving forward with plans that would bring new retail and a gas station to the First Street and Legacy Drive intersection.
What happened
Planning and Zoning commissioners approved a zoning change at a July 15 meeting to allow a gas station at the intersection of a major and minor thoroughfare, which is an exception to current town rules that only permit gas stations at intersections of two major roads.
Hector Leon, project manager with Westwood Services and a representative for the developer, said the current concept plan includes a grocery store and restaurants, but only the gas station and some infrastructure are moving forward as of now.
2. Prosper commission approves new retail center at Preston Road, Frontier Parkway
Prosper residents could see a new retail center coming to the intersection of Preston Road and Frontier Parkway.
At their Aug. 5 meeting, Prosper Planning and Zoning commissioners approved a site plan for a proposed retail center located at the southeast corner of the intersection.
The details
The site plan for the property includes a grocery store with a connected convenience store and gas pumps, a bank, three restaurants and three additional retail or restaurant spaces, according to town documents.
3. 14-acre retail center could be coming soon to Preston Road, Prosper Trail
Prosper residents could see a new retail center off Preston Road.
At their Sept. 15 meeting, Prosper Planning and Zoning commissioners approved a preliminary site plan and replat for a 13.6-acre retail center called Saddle Creek Commercial.
The details
The preliminary site plan includes five one-story buildings and four two-story buildings, all designated office and restaurant uses, according to town documents.
The retail center currently includes the Dentistry at Saddle Creek, a dental practice that opened in July.
4. Prosper commission OKs retail, restaurant space off Coit Road
Prosper officials have approved plans for additional retail coming to Coit Road and First Street.
At their Oct. 21 meeting, Prosper Planning and Zoning commissioners approved two items tied to new retail near the intersection.

The approved site plan totals over 25,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, with one building allowing a 400-square-foot patio, according to town documents.
5. Prosper OKs additional restaurant, retail space off US 380
New retail and restaurant buildings could be coming to the intersection of US 380 and Gee Road.
At their Oct. 21 meeting, Prosper Planning and Zoning commissioners approved a preliminary site plan for new restaurant and retail space at Westfork Crossing.
What you need to know
Commissioners previously approved a site plan in 2022, but that plan expired and needed minor revisions, according to town documents.
The addition includes two new restaurant and retail buildings, totaling 157,300 square feet, according to town documents.
6. Prosper council to consider new retail at Dallas Parkway, Frontier Parkway
Prosper residents could see new retail and restaurant space taking shape off Dallas Parkway.
Prosper Planning and Zoning commissioners are set to consider a preliminary site plan at their Jan. 20 meeting for new restaurant and retail buildings at the intersection of Dallas and Frontier parkways.
What you need to know
The 34.6-acre property is planned to include three restaurant and retail buildings, two restaurant buildings and six retail buildings, according to town documents.
Commissioners tabled the decision at their Dec. 16 meeting to allow the applicants to incorporate commissioner feedback into an updated preliminary site plan.
