Dallas Area Rapid Transit will offer free rides to polling centers March 1 for those voting in the Texas primary elections.

DART buses, trains and shared ride services will all be available for free, according to a Feb. 16 announcement. No proof of voter registration will be required, the release stated.

Early voting for the March 1 primary elections began Feb. 14.

The winners of elections in Collin, Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties will represent the Republican and Democratic parties on ballots in the November general election.


Early voting is available until Feb. 20 but will stay available Feb. 22-25 at specific county locations. Voting hours and location rules differ by county and can be found online for Collin, Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties.
