The Oak Point Recreation Center will reopen to the public at 10 a.m. Saturday after undergoing renovations for nearly a year.
The renovation project included aesthetic improvements, as well as the addition of a new weight room and refurbished locker rooms, according to a city news release. The recreation center’s pool also received a new slide.
The opening of the pool also comes as the Plano Parks and Recreation department celebrates its 50th year of operation. The department received special recognition at the Plano City Council meeting Jan. 8, as well as the Plano ISD school board meeting Tuesday.
