1. Tribute band Texas Flood at downtown Plano event


This month’s Plano Art and Wine Walk will kick off at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Downtown Plano Arts District, 998 E. 15th St. The wine-and-art themed event will be accompanied by music from the Stevie Ray Vaughn tribute band, Texas Flood. The live music portion is free to the public, while the wine walk is only available to ticket holders, who must be 21 or older. Tickets for the wine walk are $12 at www.visitdowntownplano.com and $18 at the door.

2. Chant Duplantier at The Brixton


For Plano entrepreneurs and business owners, The Brixton is holding a special meet-and greet event starting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Starting at 6 p.m., a live acoustic performance by Dallas-based Chant Duplantier. Attendees are encouraged to bring copious business cards to hand out, as well as to enter into a drawing. The event will be at 5800 Legacy Drive, Ste. C-11.

3. Shake Anderson to play at McCall plaza


Shake Anderson, as part of the city’s summer breeze series, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at McCall Plaza, 998 E. 15th St. Anderson wears many hats—playing music genres from R&B to country—and has worked with the likes of Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder. The event will be free to the public.
