After delays because of inclement weather last weekend, crews will begin construction on southbound US 75 on Friday evening.

The construction will include full lane closures on southbound US 75 from 10 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday, city of Plano Director of engineering Caleb Thornhill said. The closures will span from 15th Street down past the President George Bush Turnpike.

The closures come as part of a two-phase construction project by the TxDOT to expand the Plano Parkway bridge and add more lanes along US 75 and some of its its access ramps to and from PGBT.
