The development will have a mix of apartments and townhomes available for rent, according to a press release. Apartments will be available in one to three bedrooms, while the townhomes will be one to three stories. The townhomes will also include attached private two-car garages and private yards or patios.
According to a filing on the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation website, the $60 million project will include more than 680,000 square feet of apartments and townhomes. Developers include Trammell Crow Co.’s residential subsidiary High Street Residential and JV Partner Principal Real Estate Investors.
“We are excited to begin work on this dynamic new development in Plano,” High Street Residential principal Joel Behrens said in a statement. “Our goal for Legacy Square is to create a development that fits nicely into the surrounding neighborhood while simultaneously creating an urban village of its own.”
Amenities for the community will include 4 acres of open space, including a lawn courtyard with lounge seating and fire pits, and a resort-style pool with sunbathing shelves, water features, fire pits and grilling areas. Legacy Square will also feature a fitness center, a clubroom, conference rooms and a business center.
“Legacy Square provides high-end amenities that are more expansive and park-like than traditional multifamily developments in the area,” Behrens said. “The direct access to Legacy Drive and Custer Road will also provide future residents great access to North Texas and the area’s major employment centers.”
The development’s first units are expected to be available later this year with the final completion of the project scheduled for June 2023. A phone number is not yet available. www.highstreetresidential.com
