A dine-in movie theater that also offers bowling and virtual reality games will open next year in Plano's Mustang Square mixed-use development.

Fun Movie Grill has signed a lease for a 70,000-square-foot space in the 36-acre property located southwest of where SH 121 meets Rasor Boulevard, according to a Nov. 19 news release from the firm that brokered the deal.

McKinney-based Thakkar Developers began construction on the mixed-use Mustang Square property in October, including a four-story office building named HQ Center.

“We are excited to bring Fun Movie Grill’s unique combination of the best of Hollywood and Bollywood movies to Plano along with new entertainment options for families in our community,” Thakkar Developers CEO Poorvesh Thakkar said.

The facility, the company's fourth in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, will include eight movie screens and multiple party halls. It is expected to open in 2020, according to the release.
