Veterans Day 5K and fun run
The town of Prosper is hosting a Veterans Day 5K and fun run. Registration is open through Nov. 9. Seasoned runners, beginning runners, children, stroller-pushing parents, walkers and those who use wheelchairs are all welcome to attend and participate.

The city of Richardson is hosting the 18th annual Gobble Hobble Turkey Trot. Registration and on-site packet pickup begins at 7 a.m. All are welcome at the 5K and fun run. The fun run is not a timed event.

Holy Family School is holding a 5K and 1-mile fun run. The minimum age to participate in the 5K is 6. There is no age limit for the fun run. Nonservice animals are not permitted this year.

The city of Frisco is hosting the Frosty 5K and Merry Mile. Registration is open. The first 100 registrants will receive a Frosty 5K promo item. Groups of four or more on the same transaction will receive a $5 discount per person.

The cities of Lewisville, Highland Village and Flower Mound are hosting the Tri-Town Amazing Race. The race is for age 8 and up. Registration is open through Nov. 10. Space is limited. Prizes will be awarded for the top three finishing teams as well as the winners of the best costume and social media contests.

The city of Coppell will host the fifth annual Gobble Wobble and Fun Run. Register by Nov. 4 to receive a T-shirt and be entered to win a Thanksgiving turkey from Market Street. Regular registration will open Nov. 10. Packet pickup will be held Nov. 15-17.

The city of Celina will host the third annual Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue Pyrs & Beers 5K. After the race, runners are welcome to join the Rollertown Beerworks Fest. Each participant will receive a race T-shirt and a finishers medal. Registration is open through Nov. 17.
