'Big Fish'
Shine Performance Art Studio is presenting "Big Fish" at Courtyard Theater. The show is a musical that tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest. Parents are urged to be cautious. Some material may be inappropriate for preteenagers.

Hitchcocktober: 'Rear Window'
The Angelika Film Center & Café is hosting a showing of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Rear Window.” The film follows a seemingly ordinary man who gets himself in trouble for his secret desires. Laid up with a broken leg, photojournalist L.B. Jeffries stares through the rear window of his apartment and casually concocts a scenario in which a neighbor across the courtyard has murdered his wife.

Shoppers can peruse and purchase locally grown produce and other goods at a Plano’s farmers market located in the parking lot off of Chapel Hill Boulevard and West Plano Parkway. The event is run by Red Tent Markets. Some of the items that will be for sale include local produce, baked goods, handmade artisan goods, grass fed beef, farm fresh eggs, honey, salsa, plants and sweet treats.

Plano is celebrating its 19th annual multicultural festival at Haggard Park.
