Abraham George

Experience: Former Chairman of Collin County Republican Party, Small-business owner, Grassroots activist, Conservative

Occupation: Small-business owner

Why are you running?

As one of the nation's fastest-growing districts, we lack representation in Austin. Let's stop the Austin swamp, focusing on crucial issues. Despite my expectations as chairman of the Republican Party, elected officials are entangled with special interests. It's time to prioritize Texas and America first.

What are you hoping to accomplish if elected?

I look forward to collaborating with local governments to enhance our infrastructure, water and education systems. Priorities include securing the border, prioritizing real education over woke ideology, ensuring integrity and transparency in elections, and halting the spread of radical ideologies in workplaces.

What will you bring to this office in terms of your qualifications or perspective?

I'm a legal immigrant, small-business owner, father, husband and Christian. Starting as a janitor at 16, I grasp the American Dream. Let's refocus on issues, not divisiveness. For a genuine representative at the Capitol, not tied to special interests, please vote for me.

What are the biggest issues facing the district today, and how do you plan to address them if elected?

Water, power, and infrastructure will be my top priorities for the district. We must secure the border and restore safety to our communities. Rebuilding our education system is crucial for the next generation to secure decent jobs. It's time for genuine representation for real people.

Candy Noble (incumbent)

Why are you running?

I am blessed to be raised in Texas. As a mother and grandmother, it is important that the “Texas Miracle” be around for generations. I will continue to keep Texas a wonderful place to work, live and raise a family through limited government, free enterprise, individual liberty and traditional values.

What are you hoping to accomplish if elected?

I believe in cutting government red tape and property taxes, and addressing our state’s transportation needs. Border security is the most pressing issue facing our state. I have voted to protect our border using resources, state personnel and through tightening our laws to protect Texans from those here illegally.

What will you bring to this office in terms of your qualifications or perspective?

As an Elementary Certified Teacher I bring a perspective needed to address education. Serving on the Ways and Means Committee allowed me to be instrumental in school finance reforms and property tax relief. On the Human Services Committee I authored and passed bills protecting our children from predators.

What are the biggest issues facing the district today, and how do you plan to address them if elected?

Our growing population means we also need schools, roads, emergency services and other infrastructure. I will continue to fight for our share of transportation funding and block any expansion of toll roads in our area. We must also continue to buy-down the maintenance and operation portion of our school taxes.
