Tex-Mex restaurant Taco Joint announced in early August that its new Plano location had opened. This new location at 1300 W. Plano Parkway will be a part of the 156-acre Heritage Creekside development.

“We are very proud to open this new location, especially during today’s challenging market,” Taco Joint partner Corey McCauley said in a statement. “We are a neighborhood brand, so we feel like this is a wonderful opportunity to bring Taco Joint to Plano and the surrounding communities. We are excited for our General Manager Tadd Mansilla to serve new local customers and get plugged into the neighborhood.”

Taco Joint opened in 2008 and has five locations throughout the Dallas area. Taco Joint offers a variety of traditional Tex-Mex dishes, 64-ounce margaritas, daily happy hour deals and anytime breakfast tacos.

Its menu includes The Lester, which features a flour tortilla layered with refried beans then folded around a crispy corn shell filled with grilled sirloin and topped with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. It also offers The Traditional, Taco Joint’s salad filled with diced chicken fajita and sliced avocados and sprinkled with tomatoes and cheese. 469-443-0559. www.thetacojoint.com
