Chipotle opens new location with 'Chipotlane' along Independence Parkway in Plano

Chipotle Mexican Grill opened a new Plano location Feb. 20 at 6917 Independence Parkway, Plano. The fast-casual restaurant offers a variety of burritos, tacos, bowls and salads. This is the fifth Chipotle location in Plano, but is the first in the city to feature a Chipotlane—a drive-thru pickup lane that allows customers to pick up digital orders without leaving their cars, a Chipotle spokesperson shared via email.

Wincrest Orthodontics now offering services in Plano



Wincrest Orthodontics began serving patients Feb. 8 at 7110 Preston Road, Ste. 100, Plano. Dr. Ben Winters and his staff offer orthodontic care such as braces and Invisalign as well as teeth-whitening services.

FB Society's newest concept, Buttercup, now open at Legacy Hall in Plano

Buttercup, a chicken tender to-go concept, is now open at Legacy Hall, 7800 Windrose Ave., Plano, according to a Feb. 23 release. Tenders are served in orders of six or 10 tender bites with a side of sauce, tossed in the sauce or served in a cup or cone.

Texas Family Fitness opens preview center in anticipation of summer opening in Richardson

Texas Family Fitness expects to open June 1 at 1361 W. Campbell Road, Richardson. A preview center with information on the new location, amenities and member rates opened Feb. 1 in front of the future gym.

Kids Montessori Academy opening soon in Richardson

Kids Montessori Academy expects to open March 1 at 1521 E. Arapaho Road, Richardson, following a grand opening event Feb. 27. The early learning and child care center operates in a Montessori environment, which promotes lively and purposeful engagement in both indoor and outdoor settings, according to Kids Montessori social media pages.

Frisco Taekwondo America celebrates 10 years of teaching martial arts

Frisco Taekwondo America celebrated its 10-year anniversary in November. The martial arts studio offers taekwondo classes to children and adults age 4 and up. The current owner, Maraí Jimenez-Gavidia, is a former student and employee of the school.

United Real Estate's new Frisco office now open near Dallas North Tollway

United Real Estate opened a new Frisco location in the The Shops at Starwood in early February. The new office will support clients throughout the Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Denton and Garland markets.

Tailgaters sports bar opens near US 380 in Frisco

Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grill has opened its newest location in Frisco. The restaurant and bar opened Dec. 20 at 16710 FM 423, Ste. 1000. The restaurant walls are covered in TVs to feature the latest sports and entertainment, and it also has a patio for al fresco dining with TVs and heaters.

Collin County vaccine hubs resume work after winter storm shutdown

Collin County Administrator Bill Bilyeu said all vaccine hubs were forced to halt operations due to the recent flurry of ice and snow. But he said operations are back and running smoothly as of the week of Feb. 22.
