Urban Seafood Company to bring oyster bar, fish market to Plano this spring

Urban Seafood Co. is expected to open in Plano this April as part of a four-story mixed-use building at 1104 14th St., Plano. The restaurant—the creation of chef Salvatore Gisellu and Bonnie and Nathan Shea, creators of Urban Rio and Urban Crust—is set to include menu options from its fresh oyster bar as well as clams, lobster bakes, house-made pastas, lobster rolls and chowders.

Maple Primary Care to move to new Plano location



Maple Primary Care hopes to move by the end of February to its new location in Plano at 3242 Preston Road, Ste. 203. The practice, located at 4708 Alliance Blvd., Ste. 485, Plano, will offer all of the same services, including adult and pediatric medicine, women’s health exams, orthopedics, dermatology and more.

Plano Athletic Club offers state-of-the-art athletic equipment and more

Plano Athletic Club opened to the public Jan. 16 at 4600 W. Park Blvd., Plano. The newly renovated, membership-based health club features state-of-the-art athletic equipment, a physical therapy zone, a 3-D body scanner, a recovery zone and more.

The Comedy Arena reopened Jan. 29 at 305 E. Virginia St., Ste. 104, McKinney. Co-owner Von Daniel said the comedy club doubled its space by expanding onto the second floor of the building. On the first floor is a new cafe, bar and lounge area. The second floor now houses the club's theater, box office and more.

Grapevine Fly Fishing will be opening Feb. 13 at 122 N. Main St. in Grapevine. This new shop will have fly-fishing equipment for beginners and seasoned anglers.
