A developer plans to construct corporate and residential buildings in the open fields across the street from the ongoing Plano ISD fine arts center project.

Plano Planning & Zoning Commission approved plans April 20 for an independent-living community and office building southwest of where Alma Drive meets Park Boulevard.

The commission signed off on a replat, preliminary site plan and revised concept plan by a unanimous vote.

In plans filed with the city of Plano, the development is called the Collin Creek Corporate Center. The applicant was a corporation named Twin Rivers at Collin Creek.

The office building on the property would be a professional/general administrative office, according to city documents.

The $67.5 million fine arts center is expected to be completed in early 2021, according to the district.
