The city of Plano is now providing forms to prospective candidates for the City Council races on May 4.
City spokesperson Steve Stoler said Thursday in an email that at least 20 people have picked up informational packets to run for the four Plano City Council seats currently held by Tom Harrison, Ron Kelley, Rick Grady and Angela Miner.
Miner has announced her intention not to run for re-election, while the other three incumbents have yet to say publicly whether they will run again.
The filing period will begin Jan. 16 and close Feb. 15.
The packets are available at the city secretary's office in the Plano Municipal Center, 1520 K Ave.
