City council meeting

The Plano City Council will convene for its first meeting of June, where they will consider an agreement to fund a $5.5 million overhaul of the intersection of Plano Parkway and Preston Road. Council members will also vote to approve a $1.1 million sidewalk project in east Plano. The meeting is open to the public at the Plano Municipal Center at 1520 K Ave.

Tuesday

Norma’s Cafe opens in Plano

Norma’s Cafe will open its first Plano location on Tuesday at 605 W. 15 St. There will be promotions and giveaways to celebrate the opening date. The Dallas-based cafe has four other locations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Wednesday

Earls Kitchen + Bar

For people interested in visiting Legacy West this week, Earls Kitchen + Bar will be open to the public on Wednesday at 7401 Windrose Ave., Ste. D100. The restaurant serves lunch, dinner and late-night meals. Drinks include cocktails, wines, local craft beers and house-made sodas.
