The city of Plano on Wednesday confirmed it has offered economic incentives for Boeing to open a global services headquarters at Legacy West, but did not say what those incentives would be.
"We can’t disclose the details of the incentives at this point," city spokesman Steve Stoler wrote in an email. "The agreement is pending placement on a city council agenda."
The confirmation comes after a Boeing spokesperson told
Community Impact Newspaper the company had received an "attractive incentive offer from the city of Plano."
The city had declined to comment on the deal beyond a release issued Wednesday, citing a non-disclosure agreement with Boeing.
Legacy West has yet to confirm the amount of space the Boeing office will take up. There is a total of 355,000 square feet of office space for lease at the mixed-use development located southwest of the Dallas North Tollway and Sam Rayburn Tollway, Legacy West spokeswoman Victoria Snee wrote in an email.

Boeing received an "attractive incentive offer from the city of Plano," Lisa Maull, integrated logistics communications manager at Boeing, said in an email. However, terms of that incentive have not been disclosed.
The city has declined to comment on the deal beyond a release issued Wednesday, citing a non-disclosure agreement, city spokesman Steve Stoler said.
The Boeing Global Services headquarters will combine the service capabilities of the company's commercial and defense units. The company's corporate headquarters will remain in Chicago, Maull said. Commercial operations will remain at the company's Seattle office, while its defense operations will continue to operate from its Washington, D.C., office, she said.
"While some defense and commercial customer fleet support will remain within the two existing business units, the new unit will provide a broad portfolio of advanced services and incorporate the capabilities of various Boeing subsidiaries, including Aviall and Jeppesen," according to a
previous announcement from Boeing.
The new Global Services headquarters will be home to fewer than 50 employees, including Global Services President and CEO Stan Deal, some of his leadership team and support staff who will be relocated to Plano from across the globe, Maull said.
"We anticipate that there will be a few new positions at the headquarters but it's still unknown at this time," Maull added.
Maull also confirmed Boeing will be leasing the space from Legacy West.
