The Dog Stop opened Jan. 6 in Plano.

This business offers day care, boarding; grooming; and a retail store for high-quality food, treats and toys.

Business owners David and Leigh Ann Dishman said in an email that they have lived in Plano for 25 years and have been very active in the community.

“We chose this area because we know how important it is for a fun, safe and loving place for all of the dogs of Plano to spend time away from their families,” Leigh Ann Dishman said. “This location is right around the corner from where we live, and the area holds a special place for us since it is where we raised our two boys and have made so many great friends.”

Leigh Ann Dishman added that Carrie Schwartz is the general manager of The Dog Stop and has 26 years of experience in the dog care and veterinary field.
