The shop will serve handcrafted coffee and espresso drinks, including traditional Arabic coffee flavored with cardamom, saffron and ginger.
“It’s something new to the DFW community,” said Bassam Khalaf, who is the main partner at the new shop.
He said the shop will also have sandwiches, salads and other grab-and-go items. De Ra Coffee will also have some unique Mediterranean desserts, including basboosa along with some specialties featuring dates.
The shop's name, De Ra, is a variant of an Arabic name that means hometown, Khalaf said.
“Each product has a story behind it,” he said.
