A public art exhibit highlighting notable members of the Plano community is currently on display in downtown Plano.

The overview

The art exhibit called “Plano, Texas: A City Built for Community” launched on Dec. 1 and will be up until Jan. 15.

The exhibit features displays highlighting the stories of 22 notable members of the Plano community, including advocates, artists, city staff, local business owners, politicians, performers and more.

The exhibit can be viewed at the southeast corner of 15th Street and K Avenue.


Zooming out

The exhibit was launched by SK Signet, a South Korean company that opened its first U.S. based manufacturing facility in Plano in June.

SK Signet's facility on Plano Parkway manufactures electric vehicle charging stations.
