‘The Breakfast Club’
The Art Centre Theatre presents the show that includes various performances with both adult and youth actors cast. To the outside world, they were simply a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal—five students with nothing in common except having to endure an entire Saturday spent in detention together. By the end of the day, however, the students have bared their souls to each other and found that common ground is more important than outward appearances. The theater is located at 5200 Village Creek Drive, and show times and tickets for $15 per person can be found on the theater’s website. For more information, call 214-810-3228.

Friday & Saturday

‘Singin’ in the Rain Jr.’

Friday’s show begins at 7:15 p.m., and Saturday has two showings at 2:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. at the Plano Children’s Theatre, 1301 Custer Road, Ste. 706.
