Traffic update
The Dallas North Tollway will be closed all weekend starting at 11 p.m. Friday on northbound and southbound lanes from Spring Creek Parkway in Plano and Gaylord Parkway in Frisco until 5 a.m. Monday.

‘The Breakfast Club’
The Art Centre Theatre presents the show that includes various performances with both adult and youth actors cast. To the outside world, they were simply a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal—five students with nothing in common except having to endure an entire Saturday spent in detention together. By the end of the day, however, the students have bared their souls to each other and found that common ground is more important than outward appearances. The theater is located at 5200 Village Creek Drive, and show times and tickets for $15 per person can be found on the theater’s website. For more information, call 214-810-3228.

Friday & Saturday

‘Singin’ in the Rain Jr.’
Performed by the Plano Children’s Theatre, the show is adapted from the original award-winning screenplay. In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item, but behind the scenes, things are not always as they appear on the big screen. Tickets are $10-$20 depending on the seat. Friday’s show begins at 7:15 p.m., and Saturday has two showings at 2:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. at the Plano Children’s Theatre, 1301 Custer Road, Ste. 706. For more information, visit the theater’s website or call 972-422-2575.
