Violin instructor Dr. Rand Certain will lead a group of his students in a special holiday concert at Starbuck's in Plano this Sunday.[/caption]

Students from the Certain School of Music invite Plano residents to enjoy the sounds of the holiday season with them from 2-5 p.m. this Sunday, Dec. 13, at Starbucks, located at 6205 Coit Road, Ste. 352, in Plano.

The performance is free to Starbucks customers and will feature traditional songs complete with a violin quartet and piano arrangements.

Instructor and Plano resident Dr. Rand Certain has been teaching students of all ages and levels for 30 years and said he is looking forward to the concert, which will feature students ranging in age from 5 to 57. This marks the ninth year in which his students have performed at the coffee shop for the holidays and they look forward to it every year, he said.

"This is all about music education [and] the children love it," Certain said. "It's an opportunity to share their talents and gifts, [as well as] the holidays. They know it's time to get out and jam at Starbuck's."
