A section of K Avenue in Plano will be closed starting Nov. 11 while work continues on the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Silver Line project.

What’s happening?

Southbound lanes on K Avenue will be closed from Nov. 10-13 while crews work on the K Avenue railroad crossing, according to a city news release. The road will be closed between 14th Street and Plano Parkway.

The closure was planned for Oct. 20-23, but "an emergency elsewhere on the track" caused DART to delay the construction, a Plano city official said.

Work on the crossing will begin after the morning commute Nov. 10; work will end before the evening commute Nov. 13, according to the release.
