The city of Plano is more than 85% done with its first sweep of debris collection following a storm on May 28.

What you need to know

As the city ends its first citywide sweep for debris collection from the storm, crews are working on an area from the city’s western edge to Preston Road and from SH 121 to the President George Bush Turnpike, according to a news release from the city.

Crews are also prioritizing pickup at residences over public and community spaces, according to the release.

Plano crews will perform a second citywide sweep as soon as the first is complete, the release states. Residents are being asked to leave any debris missed during the first sweep at the collection point or front curb.
