As a part of ongoing streambank stabilization projects in Plano, the project will address areas impacted by erosion along Rowlett Creek and the golf course.
The project will relocate a trail further from the creek and areas impacted by erosion, while stabilizing two locations along Rowlett Creek near the golf course green, according to city documents.
The contract, awarded to Cardinal Strategies Construction Services LLC, totals about $3.35 million and is funded by the city’s community improvement program.
Some context
Plano has been working to address streambank erosion issues across the city after a 2022 study identified more than 3,000 erosion locations.
