Plano residents can expect to see upcoming improvements to three city-owned buildings, including Haggard Library.

At its June 23 meeting, Plano City Council authorized a $101,450 agreement for roof replacements and exterior resealing at Haggard Library, Fire Station 7 and Haggard Park Maintenance Building.

Renovations will be completed by The Chadwell Group and include the following city buildings:
  • Haggard Library: roof replacement and exterior resealing ($67,450)
  • Fire Station 7: roof replacement ($32,000)
  • Haggard Park Maintenance Building: roof replacement ($2,000)
According to city documents, the roofs at each building have reached the end of their anticipated life span and require updates.

The renovations are expected to last for 20 years, and the project is funded through the city’s capital improvement funds for library and public safety facilities, according to city documents.
