Residents will have the opportunity to provide feedback on Plano’s proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

City officials are planning to present information on the 2024-25 budget and Community Investment Program to Plano City Council during a budget meeting July 24. As part of the meeting, officials are also planning to discuss the 2023-24 budget and Community Investment Program.

What you need to know

Officials will provide an overview of the proposed budget, including outlined revenues and expenses for the city. The final budget document will include information about property tax revenue and the city’s property tax rate, which will be adopted later this year.

Plano council members must approve a city budget for 2024-25 ahead of the end of the current fiscal year Sept. 30.

Individuals wishing to speak during the meeting must register online. There are no options to register on-site while meetings are held in the Davis Library, which is located at 7501-B Independence Parkway.
