Plans to construct parking, facility and playground improvements in Bob Woodruff Park are set to move ahead.

The Plano Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval for a preliminary replat of the property and an updated site plan for the park during its July 15 meeting.

The overview

The preliminary replat of the park and revised site plan will allow for the construction of improvements to parking, restrooms and a playground area, according to city documents.

The revised site plan will also reflect current information about the property, which is subdivided into two lots. As previously reported by Community Impact, the subdivision makes it easier to propose changes to the park by not having to include the entire lot.

What else?

According to the city’s project map, construction on the restroom replacement in the southern area of the park is expected to begin in September.
