L&T Technology Services launches engineering center in Plano
Engineering and technology firm L&T Technology Services opened its new engineering design center in Plano on June 27. The new facility could support as many as 350 technology manufacturing and artificial intelligence jobs, according to a company news release.
Plano commission OKs housing projects at Haggard Farms site
Two housing projects at the Haggard Farms development will move forward following approval from the Plano Planning and Zoning Commission at a June 17 meeting. The commission approved an updated site plan to add 5.8 acres to an assisted living facility, and an initial site plan for a 188-unit single family home community.
Asphalt overlay projects heat up after winter hiatus
After a winter hiatus, three asphalt overlay projects resumed work in April, with two of them scheduled to complete in August, according to Plano Senior Engineer Samson Bekele. The city expects the asphalt overlays to reduce the frequency of road maintenance from every five years, to every 15-20 years, Bekele said.
Legacy Drive construction nears completion, new projects set to begin this fall
Plano completed road improvement projects at intersections at Legacy Drive and K Avenue on July 7, community improvement program engineering manager Clay Lipscomb said. The remaining projects at Custer Road and Independence Parkway are scheduled to complete this July.
Lane closures on Plano Parkway for sewer improvements
Lanes on Plano Parkway from Independence Parkway to Coit Road will close through early 2027 due to a sewer improvement project, according to a city of Plano Facebook post. The project is part of a $16 million package to improve the city’s wastewater and sewer lines.
