Lane closures on Plano Parkway for sewer improvements

Plano residents can expect to see lane closures along Plano Parkway from Independence Parkway to Coit Road through early 2027 due to a major sewer improvement project.

What you need to know

Starting July 7, lane closures will be in effect on Plano Parkway, with one lane of traffic remaining open in each direction throughout the duration of the project, according to a city of Plano social media post.

The project comes after Plano City Council’s approval of $16 million towards wastewater sewer line improvements at its May 12 meeting.

Construction is anticipated to complete in February 2027, as previously reported by Community Impact.

Construction will take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. until work is completed, according to the post.
