Major projects in the area
Spring Creek and Independence Parkways
Work continues to reconstruct the Spring Creek Parkway and Independence Parkway intersection. The project includes creating double left turn lanes and a right turn lane in all four traffic directions.
The original plan for the intersection was to create an overpass on Spring Creek Parkway, but because the City Council decided not to create that overpass, the area will now be constructed into a normal intersection.
This project is being done in two phases. The first phase to reconstruct the Spring Creek Parkway and Custer Road intersection was recently completed.
