Carter BloodCare is readying to open its new location at 2950 Craig Drive, Ste. 102, McKinney. The new McKinney donor center will begin seeing its first appointments on Wednesday, April 6. While supplies last, “Founding Donor” T-shirts will be given to those who donate April 6-10. Those who donate April 13-17 will receive an Uber gift card while supplies last, and the will be entered to win a grand prize drawing. Miranda joined Community Impact as an editor in August 2017 with the Grapevine-Colleyville-Southlake edition. In 2019 she transitioned to editor for the McKinney edition. She began covering Frisco as well in 2020 and was promoted to managing editor in 2024. Prior to CI, Miranda served as managing editor for The Prosper Press, The Anna-Melissa Tribune and The Van Alstyne Leader; and before that, she reported and did design for The Herald Democrat, a daily newspaper in Grayson County. She graduated with a degree in journalism from Oklahoma Christian University in 2014.
