Fire Bowl Cafe is now serving customizable Asian cuisine in McKinney, its first North Texas restaurant.

The restaurant offers customizable stir fry bowls and guests can build their own bowl by choosing a protein, a vegetable mix, a sauce and a base of either rice or noodles. Protein options include chicken, beef, shrimp or tofu, according to the restaurant’s menu. The restaurant’s menu also includes salads, soups, crispy tempura chicken, and appetizers such as egg rolls and potstickers.

The Austin-based restaurant brand has been in operation since 1996, according to its website. Fire Bowl Cafe currently has four locations in the Austin area and one location in Colorado. The new McKinney location is owned by Dallas-based hospitality group DLC Restaurant Holdings.

“We are thrilled to bring Fire Bowl Cafe to McKinney and introduce our unique dining experience to the wonderful community here,” DLC Restaurant Holdings CEO Mike Daniel said in a news release. “Our mission is to ensure that every customer leaves satisfied and happy, and we can’t wait to share our passion for fresh, customizable Asian cuisine with our new neighbors in North Texas.”

A ribbon cutting for the restaurant in partnership with the McKinney Chamber of Commerce is planned for 4:30 p.m., May 27, and will offer complimentary samples and exclusive promotions, the release states.
