The store will be the second for the company in McKinney, with the first store located near US 75 on Craig Drive. The grocery store is a national chain that offers store-branded foods as well as daily staples like milk, eggs and bananas.
The new shop will be located at the southwest corner of Eldorado Parkway and Stonebridge Drive, where a grocer-anchored mixed-use development was announced in late 2024. Other uses planned in the development include a Crunch Fitness gym as well as restaurants such as Chipotle and Mountain Mike’s Pizza.
A timeline for opening of the new McKinney store has not yet been announced. Construction on the store is set to begin in August and be completed by December, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The store will span just over 13,500-square-feet and will have 128 parking spaces, city documents state.
The new store will participate in the company’s Neighborhood Shares program, its website states, which includes donating all products that go unsold but are fit to eat to local nonprofit organizations. The national grocery chain has locations in 43 states, including 12 locations in Texas, according to its website.
