In a statement released by the McKinney Economic Development Corp. board, its members said they would like to express “sincere gratitude for the leadership and vision” Tokar has brought to the organization for the last five years. The board members’ statement said his dedication and hard work have been instrumental in helping the organization achieve its goals, align its vision and grow the community.

Senior Vice President Michael Talley will serve as interim president and CEO of the organization pending a permanent replacement, a representative of the organization said. No information on the organization’s search time frame has yet been announced.
