In June 2016 officials broke ground on the new McKinney ISD stadium and community event center located at the southeast corner of Hardin Boulevard and McKinney Ranch Parkway. The stadium was expected to be complete in fall 2017 but faced delays.
The latest
Construction on the stadium is expected to be complete by the end of January, however sewer infrastructure that will serve the stadium will be complete in early April, according to MISD officials.
What’s next
The district plans to host a soft opening event before the facility is ready for a grand opening.
