Election Day is Saturday, and many local candidates are hosting watch parties. Early voting results will be announced at 7 p.m. and updated throughout the night at www.communityimpact.com.

There will also be a citywide event at Dr. Glenn Mitchell Memorial Park, 300 W. Louisiana St., McKinney. Election Night on the Square is a free family-friendly event beginning at 6 p.m. Outgoing McKinney Mayor Brian Loughmiller will make a few announcements and post results throughout the evening. Live entertainment will also be provided by Buzz Andrews. Candidates Derek Baker, Jeremiah Hammer, Margaret Harsch, Clayton Myhre, Dusttin Pearson and Randy Pogue said they will be attending Election Night on the Square for part of the night.

A handful of other candidates said they will be spending their evening at the following locations to watch the election results roll in.

George Fuller and Dusttin Pearson said they will be at Tupps Brewery, 721 Anderson St., McKinney.
Curtis Rath and Randy Pogue said they will be at Local Yocal, 213 N. Tennessee St., McKinney.
Margaret Harsch said she will be at Dempsey’s Place, 310 E. Louisiana St., McKinney.
Kenneth Ussery said he will be at Lone Star Wine Cellars, 103 E. Virginia St., McKinney.
La’Shadion Anthony Shemwell said he will be at the McKinney Housing Authority, 1200 N. Tennessee St., McKinney.
