Residents can now look to the McKinney website for more information on construction projects. The city has launched a new interactive tool on its website for residents to find information on improvement projects happening in and around McKinney. The new interactive web map shows the status and basic information of active projects managed by the city's engineers and Capital Improvements Program. These include city-funded infrastructure projects such as drainage, roadways, traffic, water and wastewater projects. The map allows residents, businesses and commuters access to a project's status, budget, description, estimated start and end dates, and city staff contact information. "We are committed to ensuring that project information is available through various avenues and are excited to be able to provide our residents and businesses with current project information at any time through this web map," McKinney Capital Improvements Manager Nick Ataie said.
