The city of McKinney is looking for residents and stakeholders to attend an interactive community summit to kick off a 10-year update to the city’s Comprehensive Plan. The community summit allows residents to interact with city staff to provide input on land use, parks, transportation, economic vitality and other quality of life issues.

McKinney's Comprehensive Plan is a statement of the community’s vision for development now and in the future.

There are two opportunities to attend this event. The first community summit is scheduled for Sept. 16 at McKinney High School. The second community summit is scheduled for Sept. 17 at McKinney Boyd High School. Doors open at 5 p.m.

The first hour will include a hot dog dinner and an interactive open house session with project team members. The official summit dialogue begins at 6 p.m.

Children are invited to attend and share their ideas for McKinney’s future at the Kid’s Station.
