The wellness clinic offers both primary care services and aesthetic treatments. Primary care services include routine checkups, physical exams and care for illnesses and minor injuries. The restaurant will serve handmade fried and steamed dumplings, orange chicken and pork buns.8. The Brunch District

The restaurant, which was previously slated to open in March, is now slated to open this summer in McKinney, a company representative said. The menu features steak and eggs, omeletts, skillets, egg benedicts, biscuits and gravy, and more.9. Centro on the Square

Menu items available will include a variety of appetizers, salads, pasta, locally sourced steaks and fish dishes, with a focus on Italian cuisine, Co-owner Brian Dunne said. 10. Stella’s Ice Cream


In addition to classic ice cream flavors including vanilla, chocolate, salted caramel and mint chip, the dessert business also offers seasonal flavors, the company’s website states. Construction on the store is slated for completion in June, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.Expansions

11. Bresnan Bread and Pastry


The bakery, which sells artisan breads and pastries, will expand into a space adjacent to the existing bakery and add 1,800-square-feet to the business’s location. The expansion, which will primarily be used to add seating for patrons, began in May and is expected to be completed by early fall, owners Matt and Jenna Bresnan said.12. Community Lifeline Center


The expansion project at the nonprofit organization included new refrigeration and shelving, a storage unit, new grocery carts and new associate utility carts for the center’s food pantry. The project also included removing a conference room and reconfiguring the existing pantry to allow for easier access, the release states, including a new rear entrance for food drop off.13. Diena Simply Natural Braiding

The salon, which specializes in African hair braiding and natural hair care services, will see a new expansion that’s set to open later this summer that includes new stations for additional capacity and a new space for hair and scalp spa services.14. St. Michael the Archangel

Representatives of the historic church began an expansion project on a multipurpose pastoral center in November 2024. The project is slated for completion in December, Business Manager Joseph Walker Jr. said. The building, which will house faith formation classes and parish group meetings, will feature six individual meeting rooms, one large meeting room, two offices and a small reception room.In the news

15. Erwin Park


The park will see a temporary closure this fall for renovations, McKinney Parks and Recreation Department officials said. The $10.5 million renovation project includes improved restrooms, a new entrance feature, a new overlook structure, benches and improved trails, department officials said. The park is expected to complete renovations in late 2026 or early 2027, but parks officials are aiming to phase the construction to avoid full closure of the park.Closings

16. 107 Roasters & Cafe


Representatives of the business announced in a May 16 social media post the business is closing in McKinney and relocating to Amarillo, Texas this summer. The coffee shop menu featured coffee, frappes, energy drinks, shakes and lemonades. The business also roasts a variety of coffee beans including single-origin and blended varieties.
