11. Bresnan Bread and Pastry
The bakery, which sells artisan breads and pastries, will expand into a space adjacent to the existing bakery and add 1,800-square-feet to the business’s location. The expansion, which will primarily be used to add seating for patrons, began in May and is expected to be completed by early fall, owners Matt and Jenna Bresnan said.

15. Erwin Park
The park will see a temporary closure this fall for renovations, McKinney Parks and Recreation Department officials said. The $10.5 million renovation project includes improved restrooms, a new entrance feature, a new overlook structure, benches and improved trails, department officials said. The park is expected to complete renovations in late 2026 or early 2027, but parks officials are aiming to phase the construction to avoid full closure of the park.

16. 107 Roasters & Cafe
Representatives of the business announced in a May 16 social media post the business is closing in McKinney and relocating to Amarillo, Texas this summer. The coffee shop menu featured coffee, frappes, energy drinks, shakes and lemonades. The business also roasts a variety of coffee beans including single-origin and blended varieties.
