The specifics
The commercial laundry facility, owned by Alger Bradley and Travis Cummings, offers self service laundry washing services with machines ranging in size. Bradley said select machines have the capacity to wash 100 lbs of laundry.
The business also offers drop-off wash and fold services that allows customers to drop off laundry at the store to be cleaned, as well as home pickup and delivery laundry services. Both services can be booked on the business’s website.
The first location opened on Tennessee Street in the spot formerly occupied by Sno-White Coin Operated Laundry Cleaning. The second location, which is under construction, will occupy the former space of Nixon’s Coin-Op Cleaning Center. Bradley and Cummings acquired the locations from the former owner of both laundry businesses.
“We had the opportunity last year in working with the owner of the previous Nixon’s and Sno-White laundromats, they were looking to get out of the business, and we thought that there was an opportunity for us to provide similar type of service to what we did at Coin Laundry,” Bradley said.
The duo also owns Coin Laundry Co., another laundry business in East McKinney that opened in August 2021. The new locations don’t share the Coin Laundry Co. name because the machines are not coin operated, Bradley said. They instead use a loyalty card that can be loaded with funds and used at either location of The Laundry Store.
