As the weather continues to warm up, more businesses are hosting live musical performances. Here are a few places to keep in mind:

McKinney Celtic Music Festival


This free three-day music festival runs from June 9 -11 and features 30 bands. Music begins at 4 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Locations vary but will be held at The Celtic Irish Pub, 100 N. Tennessee St., McKinney, Dempsey’s Place 310 E. Louisiana St., McKinney, and a stage between the two buildings. Tucker Hill PorchFest


Tucker Hill PorchFest will take place in McKinney this weekend, June 9-11.[/caption]

Tucker Hill PorchFest features six live bands performing on front porches. Guests can also browse vendor and sample complimentary wine. Saturday’s free event runs from 5 p.m.-dusk (porch bands) with a lawn concert at 7 p.m. PorchFest will take place in the Tucker Hill development, located at 2100 State Blvd. For more information visit www.tuckerhilltx.com.

Sanctuary Music & Events


Texas Flood and the Maylee Thomas Band will take over the Sanctuary Music & Events, located at 6633 Virginia Parkway, McKinney, Saturday night from 8-11:30 p.m. Tickets are available at www.thesanctuarymckinney.com and range from $25 for downstairs seating and $15 for general admission (standing room only).
