Texas Department of Transportation contractors will begin working on the medians along Cross Timbers Road between Long Prairie Road and Garden Ridge Boulevard starting Nov. 29.

Workers will update landscaped medians by adding native plants, trees, mulch and rock to eliminate the grass, according to a Flower Mound news release. Most of the project is funded by a grant received by Keep Flower Mound Beautiful from the Governor’s Community Achievement Awards program.

The project is projected to last about five to six months, according to the town release. Lanes will be closed as needed to complete the work.
