The project will feature a pathway lined with weather-resistant cases containing pages from a children’s book, according to the release. As a person walks down the pathway they will be directed to the next page in the story.
A new book will be installed along the path periodically to continue the enjoyment for families, according to the release.
The project comes through a partnership with Flower Mound Parks and Recreation, and the library. The grant came from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, and the Texas State Library and Archives, according to the release.
Installation of the StoryWalk will begin in 2022, according to the release, and its location is still being finalized.
