Lewisville ISD announced March 26 that district schools will remain closed through April 17 due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
Along with the extended closure, all activities on school campuses are canceled through April 19.
The district will continue to provide grab-and-go meals for students who wish to get them. However, starting March 27, two new pickup sites will be added: Rockbrook Elementary School and Stewart’s Creek Elementary School. Pickup times will change to 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and students will receive two meals at pickup, including lunch for the day of pickup and breakfast for the next day.
During the closure, the district will continue to offer optional self-guided learning opportunities online. According to the district’s announcement, middle school and high school students will hear from their school officials by March 30 with additional information about at-home learning.
