A brief road closure is planned in Coppell to accommodate construction for Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s Silver Line project.

The closure for northbound lanes will take place between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 14 along Freeport Parkway between the railroad crossing and Southwestern Boulevard.

The overview

Drivers heading north on Freeport Parkway will need to seek an alternate route, according to a city news release. Individuals seeking updates about construction within Coppell can visit DART’s dedicated webpage for Silver Line construction.

The Silver Line is an over $2 billion commuter rail project that will run from Plano to Terminal B inside Dallas Fort-Worth International Airport. Service is expected to begin between late 2025 and mid-2026.
