Coppell officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the reopening of Duck Pond Park on April 2.

The park received a new concrete walking trail around the entire pond as part of a $810,490 reconstruction project Coppell City Council approved last spring.

Funding for the park beautification project was approved in 2019. Work was funded through the Coppell Recreation and Development Corp fund.
